The 2013 GP3 League Europe Season of the R4S GP3 League started with F1 Challenge and in cooperation with the Indy Racing League (which also run on F1C). There were nine races scheduled, but the British and Hungary rounds were cancelled.
The 2013 season was the first ever of the Race4Speed Leagues and was won by Carlos Frau, driving for Atech CRS GP. The team also achieved the first championship for teams.
Drivers and TeamsEdit
As a result of the few competitiors and to step up to a more serious league the administration decided to switch from outdated F1C to more modern rFactor in late 2013. Also, to avoid chaos, "usernames" were forbidden and real names were mandatory. This and the long winter in GP3 terms led to the 2013-14 GP3 Winter league season.
